Who is Jim Mehus?
Jim is a 57 year old working to prove you can teach an old dog new tricks.
At one time, I thought you had to be a mathematician to work with computers. Maybe that was true at one time. Not now. Thank you, Michael Mooney, for getting me the chance to dip my toe into the pond called “IT”. I’m not saying where I worked, but I learned to create quotes using Configure One Configure, Price, Quote software. At the time, it was completely new to me, now, it seems so elementary. I knew nothing of the software, and worked very hard to give everybody what they wanted until it was completely gunked up. I learned a bit of SQL, HTML, and Python in my spare time. Now, I am deep into learning WordPress. It’s both easier, and yet, harder than HTML and RSS.
My poor wife has wondered if I would ever find work again. Old Dogs can learn new tricks, but we’re not as quick as we once were. Our brains are as stiff as our backs. We need to exercise the brain.
